We are honored that you have entrusted us with your dental care. We take
seriously our responsibility for your care and your long-term dental health,
which has prompted us to evaluate how we deal with our patients’ financial
obligations and appointment reservations. The following outline is
intended to assist you in understanding the options that are available to you
and to your family at our dental practice. As always, feel welcome to
speak to any of our staff members should you need further clarification with the
following items.
Appointment
Reservations
It has always been our contention
that our patients' time is very valuable. So, we have only one theory
about scheduling - you deserve our undivided attention. For this reason,
we do not double-book like other practices, and accept drop-ins only in the
event of an emergency.
When we schedule a dental visit,
that time is yours. It belongs to you. So, when cancellations
happen, we feel like we've been stood up for a very important appointment - an
appointment that has everything to do with your on-going dental health.
Our staff has made a promise,
professionally and personally, to give you the concern, respect and care that
makes our office a comfortable and pleasant place to visit. It is for this
reason that we expect 24 hours notice should you need to change an appointment
with our office. Of course flat tires, sick children and family
emergencies do happen, and we understand. But the cost of needlessly
missed appointments is borne by us all - in overhead, in time and energy, and
eventually, in patient fees.
In the event that you or your
children have repeatedly broken or cancelled appointments with our practice
without giving ample notice, we may no longer be able to reserve time for you on
our schedule. In this case, we may put you on a short-notice-call-list
only for any future treatment necessary, or we may have no other alternative but
to dismiss you from our practice.
Payment Options
Should you have dental insurance, we will continue to file claims for you and
assist you in maximizing your plan benefits.
Because we accept delayed payment
from your insurance carrier, we expect your co-payment at the time that we
provide services to you. You are responsible for any portion not covered
by your dental plan. Your "approximate" co-pay will be told to you at the
time your treatment is presented. Please remember that your dental plan is
a contract between you and your insurance carrier, NOT between Dr. Lehrman and
your insurance carrier.
In order to assist you in paying for
your dental treatment, we offer the following payment options at our practice:
Cash or Check: Personal check, cashier’s check or
cash.
Credit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express
Optional Financing Plans: We will be happy to assist you with
applying for financing should you so desire. We do not handle any
"in-house" financing, but we do have financing available through Healthcare
Credit Line and Capital One Financing.
Discount: A 5% discount will be given to any patient who prepays
their upcoming dental visit with cash or check within 24 hours.
